“If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a hoper, a pray-er, a magic-bean-buyer, if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire; for we have some flax golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!” ― Shel Silverstein

This movie is so fun and colorful! I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would, the music is spot on. And I really like the relationship between Groot and Rocket, he’s like a proud papa raccoon ahahaha 8’))))))

We have to finish this together.

I love the symmetry of the whole thing. Wan’s life was in danger the longer Raava stayed in his body. After 10,000 years, Korra’s body nearly shut down without her. ;A; Raavaaaaa~

Before I start writing: This is a magnificent work of genius. I can see it sprawled open in my mind and it is perfect. All I need to do is write it down.
After I open a blank document: I have two half-sentences and an emoticon. There is nothing else in my brain.

So I’m reading Ender’s Game and I love it and I want to know if the movie is worth my time. Would anyone recommend it, or condemn it..? You response would be highly valued, thank you!

Um. It probably depends on what you love about the book. It has good casting, and was clearly made by fans based by the number of things included in the movie from the book.

Sadly, those fans didn’t really understand the book at all.

Visually, it’s kind of in the middle - it’s better than a lot of the dreck out there, but as lockestheway says, it lacks visual poetry. And if there was ever a book that could have benefited from some visual poetry, Ender’s Game is that book.

OSC has said that the film is the adventure story version of the book, all wham bang and whiz pow. If you really like the bangs and pows, and want to see the cast do a decent job with a subpar script, then the movie will be fine.

also the soundtrack

is

heartbreakingly

gorgeous

and it WILL make you cry when you listen to it while reading the book.

I think the movie is worth watching at least once, even if you come away unsatisfied. to me, the soundtrack, visual effects (THE BATTLE ROOM NNNNNNGH SO PRETTY) and Asa’s performance are all worth it. Asa nailed Ender even when the script didn’t, IMO…

Finally!! The words in this were based off of Hiccup’s narration in the first book of the How to Train Your Dragon series by Cressida Cowell. I’ve been working on this for a few months now (on and off) and finally just finished it for the Dragons 2 release. Happy flying for those who are going to see it!!! :)

I had to oddly compress everything because of Tumblr formatting x__X make sure you click the 3 mini pictures after the first/second panel!!!
